SKAJ

Terms

SKAJ for iPhone and iPad · Effective 1 November 2026

In short. SKAJ is a tool for keeping your own pilot logbook. You stay responsible for your logbook. The numbers SKAJ works out are there to help you; they are not an approved system. SKAJ isn’t affiliated with any airline or aviation authority.

Your logbook is your record

As the pilot, you are responsible for keeping your logbook complete and correct (EASA FCL.050, FAA 14 CFR 61.51, or your own authority’s rule). Check what SKAJ records, including flights it imports from files, rosters and scans, before you rely on it.

Calculated values are aids

Recency, flight time and duty limits, flight duty periods, rest, night time, PIC and SIC credit and totals are worked out from what you log and from rules as SKAJ understands them. They can be wrong or out of date, and your operator’s rules come first. Don’t use SKAJ as your only check before a flight or a duty.

No affiliation

SKAJ is made by an individual developer. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any airline, operator or aviation authority. Airline and authority names appear only so that you can pick your own setup.

Keep a backup

Your logbook lives only on your devices (see the Privacy Policy). Keep automatic backups on, or export your logbook regularly, so that a lost or broken device doesn’t take it with it.

Licence

SKAJ is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also covers warranty and liability. The data sources and software SKAJ uses are listed, with their licences, in Settings → Acknowledgements.
